Actellic 50 EC is a fast-acting, broad-spectrum organophosphate insecticide of low mammalian toxicity. It kills insects by contact, ingestion and fumigant action. Actellic 50 EC controls a range of pests in grain, grain stores, livestock houses and yards. It provides rapid knockdown of insect pests and will persist on walls, floors and other inert surfaces to give residual control.

Biforce Granules

Biforce granular insecticide is a superior residual contact insecticide for the fast and effective control of ants, fleas, ticks and lawn pests outdoors. Insect control in organic areas such as turf, compost heaps, garden and shrub areas can be difficult to achieve with conventional spray and dust pest control products.

A heavy insecticide such as Biforce is most effective at penetrating deep into the swath of these insect infected areas as it will drop through the canopy to where the insects are located. Biforce’s heavy regular shaped particles make it easy to spread and apply, and allows the granules to penetrate effectively into swath areas.

Madex 3 100 mls

Contains 33x10¹³ CpGV/L (codling moth granulosis virus) in the form of a suspension concentrate.

MADEX is a biological insecticide containing CpGV which is a natural occurring pathogen of the codling moth. The formulation only contains organic additives; therefore the application of MADEX produces no chemical residues in the food chain and can be used in organic farming.

The codling moth, Cydia pomonella, is the most destructive pest in apple and pear production world wide. The damage is caused by the larvae entering the fruit and penetrating to the core.

MADEX can be stored at 5°C for 2 years without loss of efficacy. If it is stored at lower temperatures, such as -15°C, storage is even prolonged without loss efficacy of the product.

Effect mechanism:

The codling moth granulose virus works exclusively over the digesting organs of the larvae of the codling moth and has no contact action. Hence Madex 3 must be eaten by the larvae of the codling moth. The infected larvae stop eating after the intake of the virus and do not cause any more damage. Depending upon the virus amount intake the larvae die within few days or in the course of their further development.

Madex 3 is mixable with fungicides and insecticides. Strongly sour or alkaline as well as cupreous preparations are excluded.

NoPests Madex®2 60ml

A biological agent for the control of Codling Moth in Pipfruit The formulation only contains organic additives, therefore the application of MADEX produces no chemical residues in the food chain and can be used in organic farming. Madex 2 has been used in commercial apple and pear orchards for Codling Moth control for more than 20 years. It is an organic product based on a live organism – the Codling Moth Granulosis virus otherwise known as CpGV – a naturally occurring pathogen of the codling moth.

Madex 2 is a diluted form of Madex 3 especially formulated for small orchards and home gardeners. It controls Codling moth caterpillars in their earliest juvenile stages before they begin to burrow into the fruit, it has a highly specific effect on fruit maggots and thus does not impact bees. Once caterpillars have burrowed deep within the fruit, they become impossible to control. Madex 2 will not control adult moths, therefore, early application provides the best results.

Directions For Use:

Make the first application when codling moth larvae are hatching. This is normally from early to mid-October. Repeat applications at 7-14 day intervals till mid-December. A second infestation of young caterpillars may occur in mid-January. Madex 2 used in consecutive seasons has a cumulative effect in the reduction of the codling moth population. Madex 2 must be stored in the fridge

Pyganic is an organically certified insecticide using Pyrethrum sourced from naturally grown Pyrethrum flowers as its active ingredient. Pyganic is made in the U.S.A using a unique process engineered to produce organically compliant pyrethrum.

Mode of Action: Pyganic is a contact insecticide providing rapid knockdown and kill of insect pests within minutes of application.

Tips for Best Performance:

Buffer the pH of the Pyganic spray solution to 5.5-7.0
Application of the spray solution with a pH outside of this range may result in poor performance on target insects.
Pyganic is a contact insecticide
good coverage is key.
The amount of water used as a carrier has to be sufficient to achieve good coverage and contact of target insects.
Consider application in early morning, late evening or during the night. - Reduced UV exposure and lower temperatures will increase performance and reduce impact on pollinators.
Pyganic may be applied in conjunction with a spreader or wetting agent.

Field trials have shown the addition of the Nufilm-17® adjuvant may assist with the performance of pyrethrum insecticide by reducing the impact of UV exposure.

Do not mix Pyganic with lime sulphur, Bordeaux mixture or any alkaline materials. Pyganic may be tank mixed with other insecticides, fungicides, adjuvants and wetting agents. Prior to tank mixing conduct a small scale physical compatibility test using the proper proportions of products and water to ensure the physical compatibility of the mixture.

Beneficials: Pyganic is toxic to bees and other terrestrial invertebrates. Spray must not contact plants in flower while bees are present.

ZetaPY is based on naturally produced pyrethrum and is a natural, quick acting contact action broad spectrum insecticide that can be applied close to harvest. ZetaPY will control sucking and chewing insects that damage fruit, vegetable or ornamentals crops. Good coverage is essential for a high level of control as the active is a contact insecticide. Rapid breakdown of the product following application means there is little or no residue left, so crops can be treated for control of passion vine hopper, aphids or greenhouse thrips close to harvest. The short withholding period gives the grower greater flexibility in controlling crop infestations.
