KeyStrepto^TM is a bactericide used to control bacterial diseases of pipfruit trees, stone fruit trees and seedling tomatoes. It has been approved for use by the NZ Food Safety Authority, the NZ Environmental Protection Agency and the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Board. The product can only be purchased and used by GROWSAFE approved handlers. It has been licenced for limited use on kiwifruit vines, before they flower, in high risk Psa-V orchards during the August-December 2011 season. The active ingredient in KeyStrepto^TM is streptomyacin, a bactericidal antibiotic. KeyStrepto^TM is manufactured in New Zealand for Key Industries Ltd.
